Lovely!

We stayed at Feeling Tipsea and the location was PERFECT, right across from the ocean but you felt like you were on it. The view was awesome. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. Close to Surf City too. We are definitely coming back.

We had an amazing time! Love the beach views! We only had a few issues with the deck rocking chairs that were broken and the comforter wasn't clean in one of the bedroom. Other then that it was a great place to stay!! We will book again.

Great base on Topsail Island

Pictures and description were accurate. The townhouse was very spacious, nicely decorated, and located with great (full) beach views. The public access to the beach was accross the street, which was very convenient. (Note that the beach must be reached via a public access point because the dunes are protected.) With kids, I would not say that restaurants/downtown Surf City were within walking distance. Not sure for adults; probably still better to drive. The beach had nice fine sand and clear water. Weather was not great for most of our stay, but the days that were pleasant were nearly perfect. Shaka Taco, The Daily Grind, playground across the street, and the pier were great. On the mainland, Salty Turtle Brewing and Coastal Wings and Spirits were great. Surf City/Topsail Island is a pretty low-key location, but sometimes that is the perfect break from a hectic everyday life. Note that the pool is very small; it was actually closed due to a needed repair during our stay but should be resolved soon. The property had a coffee maker (not a Keurig) and other essentials to make us feel at home. Overall, a great stay, and I would recommend it.

Clean, beautiful beach townhome with ocean views

This property was perfect for 3 adult couples to enjoy a relaxing week’s vacation. Beautiful ocean views and public beach access is just steps away. Local bars within walking distance and restaurants within a short driving distance. One slight negative was daily wifi outages (unsure if they were specific to our unit or the entire building). In addition, the pool was advertised as open but was closed all week.

Excellent Oceanfront view

The property is very well maintained. My husband and I stayed here for two weeks while looking for houses to relocate to Wilmington this summer. The pictures are accurate, you have an awesome unobstructed view of the beach and ocean on the top and bottom levels. we could easily pick out which beach area we wanted to set up based on the wide view from our deck. Public beach access is right across the street and isn’t too crowded as long as you go early on a weekend day. We stayed out longer during the week because it is less busy. Since it was only the two of us we really only used the second floor for living, but it would be great for kids or multiple families to have plenty of space. The kitchen is fully stocked we spent plenty of time cooking from local seafood markets when eating out became tiresome and had everything we needed as far as utensils/cookware. The location on the island is convenient you are walking distance from a few restaurants but away from the hectic traffic of central surf city. The only problems we had is the Internet went in and out probably due to wind. Ward realty was available and put in a maintenance request. However, when the maintenance worker arrived the next day to assess the situation, and the Internet was back on. I don’t think it is an issue for maintenance as much as it needs addressed with the service provider. We only really watched television in the evenings we like to stay in and watch movies. We were able to use our phones as a hotspot for the TV when we needed to and it wasn’t a big issue for us. The pool was closed when we were there due to a maintenance issue. We were able to talk to the pool tech who told us it would be fixed and operating in a week but that did not happen unfortunately. There is a sign up on the gate stating the pool was closed with a warning label. However there were quite a few evenings where about 10 college age kids were in it despite the warning. We left 2 days before Memorial Day and we’re well aware the pool might not be operating during our stay. I do not recommend using the outdoor shower. Use the water hose instead. The shower does not have a drain and there were a lot of bugs habitating inside. I use VRBO a lot and sometimes the pictures and descriptions are manipulated to make the property seem nicer than it really is. That is not the case at Feelin Tipsea. Everything in the pictures and description is accurate. We would definitely stay here again. 5 stars

Ocean Views From the Condo!

Great location! This was a very nice, very clean, 3 bed, 3.5 bath condo with tandem parking underneath it. Two bedrooms were on the second floor (above the parking), one facing the ocean, one facing a modest pool. There was also a shaded deck on this floor, looking out over the beach and ocean. The third floor had one additional bedroom (facing the pool) and the communal living areas (with beach/ocean views), as well as an unshaded deck from which to look out over the beach and ocean. The kitchen was reasonably stocked and included a blender, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans and a wide variety of cooking utensils. The stairs on this level led up to the half bathroom and a small area with a desk (with a small selection of card games and puzzles) on a fourth floor. The outdoor shower was great and had both hot and cold water. A very short walk out of the condo area and across the street gets you to the public beach access. (The public access is caddy corner to the condos). There is public parking and a playground located across the street perpendicular to the beach. Most things (grocery stores, restaurants, etc were located within a ten minute drive). The pier is about five minutes away (driving). The condo was wonderful and bright, perfect for a beach vacation!
