'This is a really beautiful property with incredible views and very quiet bit it’s not easy to get to with 17 steps to follow. So make sure you get there in the light. You also can’t drive directly to the house you have to put your bags in a cart and pull it the last 80 metres. We didn’t realise this and turned up in the dark after a very big day. Also for some reason we couldn’t get the directions either. Fortunately we had someone to call who could get all the details to us and we could get in....

'Everything was as expected. Property manager really helpful and friendly but also left us to it once we were sorted. The unit is compact but has had a really nice update to make it really comfortable for a short stay. The heating was really nice and effective which is essential for a Halls Gap autumn stay! The only things that would have made it perfect was if there were some wine glasses available in the unit and if the stove top worked effectively, but we just worked around these things :-) '

'Just right, cosy and convenient!'

'The pyramid cabin was great. Everything inside was thoughtfully organised, right down to the measuring cups in the kitchen. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Food preparation was easy as we had all the implements at hand. We made duck soup with buckwheat noodles. The beds were warm and we didn’t even need to use the electric blankets.'

'Great stay. It is a beautiful place and the cabin was spacious and comfortable - as was the common room. The kitchen is outdoors and provides cooking utensils but don't expect anybody else to clean for you. Also you should provide your own food. As it is pretty far out the landscape and the stars are amazing. If the owner is not at the reception when you arrive, just give him a call. He is friendly and fun and can give you some tips for hiking. We did enjoy our stay.'
