Welcome to the" Beach Bum" in Morgantown! Constructed in 2018 this 3 bedroom 2 bath home is located in Morgantown community of Fort Morgan area of Gulf Shores. The Beach Bum with its open and airy layout plan that comfortably sleeps 10. Located on gulf side of scenic Fort Morgan Road, this walking, bike, and golf cart friendly community is located between mile marker 6 and 7. Features 3 private beach accesses with boardwalks, golf cart parking and one public beach access with parking lot for cars, 2 Pools, tennis/pickle ball courts and basketball goal. One pool newly renovated. Also, Morgantown and its resident's practice “Leave Only Footprints." This is to protect wildlife, especially mama sea turtles who come ashore to nest between months of May and October. Enjoy this charming beach home furnished with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We offer commercial ice machine, and beach cart not to mention beach toys and a well-stocked kitchen. From the Beach Bum, it is just a little over a block to the beach, tennis courts and pools. The short walk to beach (5-10 minutes due to how fast or slow you walk) you will see scenic wetlands, beautiful homes and variety of wildlife. You will not have any busy roads in beautiful laid-back Morgantown. Here life slows down and get ready for your troubles to lift off your shoulders. Open and airy floor plan includes 3 bedrooms which are master with king bed, memory foam mattress and master bath with walk in shower; queen bed with memory foam mattress in 2nd bedroom; 3rd bedroom features 2 full size beds with memory foam mattresses. Also have twin bunk alcove names "The Turtles Nest". Fun for the little ones with sea life mural on walls; but roomy and comfortable enough for 2 adults. Second bath has shower/tub combo located in area of these bedrooms. Each bedroom has a smart TV, also a smart TV located in living room. Charcoal grill is available for those grill masters. Front porch deck area you can watch stunning sunrises and sunsets in which you can hear waves crashing onto shore. If you are lucky enough, you may even get to see Blue Angels practice during the week. The back porch deck area looks over Morgan Lakes not necessarily a lake but marsh area which is a beautiful habitat. Who knows what wildlife you may get to observe while sitting back drinking your coffee or 5 o'clock somewhere drink. We have furnished our home with the essentials we like to make it as comfortable as possible.
Located away from crowded beaches and busy touristy downtown Gulf Shores but is only 15-20 minutes into town. If you don't feel like driving into town on a lazy beach day the Sassy Bass, Tacky Jacks, and upscale Jesse's on the Bay are 3 closets restaurants with delicious menu. Sassy Bass also has convenient store to pick up any needed essentials without having to go into town. Sassy Bass also has pizza delivery and they are delicious A Dollar General is just down the road. The full-service Fort Morgan marina is approximately 3 miles from Morgantown. Opportunities for everyone include fishing, swimming, kayaking, walking trails and golf courses are close by. Unfortunately, we do not rent to anyone younger than 23. This is family friendly area. If you are looking for a partying scene this is NOT the home for you. NO smoking and also this home is NOT pet friendly! We DO want you to have fun, relax and unwind!
