« Great location for getting around Whitby. Shame about lack of car parking. Shower drain in our room was prone to blocking. Concerned it might flood the downstairs. We did mention it to staff. Overall a pleasant stay. Might be an idea to mention the stairs leading to upper room as less mobile guests may struggle »

« To say it was above a pub it was very quiet, the room looks like it’s just been refurbed, Room 3, new toilet, shower etc. the breakfast choice was great and quality second to none. The staff were great, there when you needed them, out of sight when you didn’t. Very homely feel and will 100% book again. « What’s not to love? This place is an absolute gem. The rooms are immaculate, each with its own unique character, and it was so peaceful and relaxing throughout our stay. The staff in the pub couldn’t do enough for us, proper old-fashioned customer service at its best. Everyone we spoke to was genuinely friendly, welcoming and happy to help. The food was exceptional. « Shocking, even at the price point of £40:00. No matching bedding, toilet ran all Night. The System continued fill with water. The furniture was way passed its sell by date, two of the drawers had NO BOTTOM to them. The pillows were very thin, I have thicker pillow protectors at home. The best thing was it was 4 minutes walk to the train station to get away and back to LONDON. Oh and did I mention the pigeons in the hotel loft space. Sorry to say I would not stay there again. »

« Lovely country hotel with large garden and free parking. Our room had a comfortable bed,fridge, fan and tv . The bathroom was clean with extra large towels. We ate at restaurant for 3 evenings. Menu had a good choice of meals and food was lovely. Restaurant was very busy so pre booking advised. We had a great breakfast each day with hot and cold selections. Bus stops outside to Whitby and Saltburn which was a bonus. Lovely hotel with wonderful staff and we would definately stay again »

« Very nicely situated in a quiet village area 3miles from the town centre. Large car park at the rear and easy access to a bus service outside. Clean pub and rooms of a reasonable quality. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Well priced. »
