Motels in Great Barrier Reef

'Short walking distance to the seaside promenade and relatively silent. Basic breakfast. Quick and easy service help by the last at reception, to book my trip to Kuranda skyrail and train.'

'Stay OK. Booking of excursions via hotel rather expensive, due to provision fee added to your account.'

'Lovely place with beaches on both sides of the property, so even on a windy day, one side will be calm. The rooms are very clean and tidy, we had a room with ocean view balcony and sunset view at the front porch!'

'The Reef Hotel is a three level building WITHOUT elevators so you have to carry your own luggage up the three flights of stairs. The WiFi connection in the room did not work. The staff said they could not fix it for the two days I stayed there. Inside the room there were small ants around the bathroom sink. The room was not cleaned and bed not made for the second day of my stay. The hotel staff was not helpful on any of my concerns.'

'Beautiful room and super helpful staff. I was able to check in after staffed hours without any hassle. Plus, as I was leaving, they called me to let me know I left something in the room. Location is only a 5 minute walk away from the beach, restaurants, adventure and skydiving facilities.'

'This place was exactly what I needed with my 2 dogs on our drive between the Gold Coast and the Whitsundays. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was quiet once I went to sleep, I do sleep with earplugs in otherwise you may hear some noise from the Highway and trains. The only downfall was the shower pressure was painful - one spout came out so strong it felt like razor blades to my skin and the rest was dribbling so I was unable to enjoy a shower. I brought this up with the staff...

'Great short stay'
