B&B in Governors Island

'Having stayed night after night at different motels, the inn was a welcome change from the "modern" places we had been experiencing. The old fashoned wood paneling and china rather than paper plates, along with the cloth napkins offered an elegance that other places did not. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was delicious and nicely presented.'

'everything was great, except for the stairs. I have to walk with a stick.'

'What a wonderful B&B in Meredith. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome on both days we were there. Nice room, comfortable bed and great amenities. Highly recommend.'

'I was traveling to the area for a wedding at a local resort and spent two great nights at the Colonel Spencer Inn. Hosts Tracy and Jim are kind and respectful and offered to assist with my luggage. I slept very well in the comfortable bed. Even though the weather was less than ideal, it is in a beautiful setting and I want to stay there again. I had two delicious and filling breakfasts and I appreciated the snacks, coffee and tea bar, and beverage fridge filled with water bottles.'

'Cozy and friendly.'

'Nice to have coffee and muffins an hour before the excellent breakfast choices. We sat by an outdoor fire one night and played board games the other night. A true retreat from the daily grind. Our two adult children and the two of us slept comfortably in one room that had mutliple beds. Nice to have the option to walk to town as well. Great time!'

'Perfect place to stay for a long weekend in the white mountains. Breakfast was amazing!'
