« This was a very relaxing and private spot, even with a couple of nearby cabins. It was not hard to find using the directions, and the amenities were great. We weren't able to use the grill because the propane tank was impossible to open, but otherwise we had a great time. »

The hosts communicated with us about checking in and about directions to find the treehouse. They responded promptly to all of our text. « We stayed at the Hobbit House for my daughter’s wedding this weekend (June20, 2026), with 6 grandchildren. They absolutely loved staying here, even my husband was thrilled with this place. It was a fun stay for them, and they made s’mores on their last night out at the fire pit. The hot tub was also a big hit. Very responsive owners and easy check-in and check-out. »

« We loved the seclusion to celebrate our 23rd anniversary. A few things to note- we were in an F250 and without turning our 4WD on, had to floor it to get up the driveway leaving. The hot water heater kept showing an error signal my first shower and my husband would have to unplug it and plug it back in to get hot water again. Pillows were fantastic, beds were extremely hard. « Four women on year 40 of getting together each summer. We stayed at Alpine lake 10 years ago, but in a different property not by the lake. This old log house is perfect in terms of location. Our absolute favorite is the porch and experiencing the lake in the early morning sun, afternoon and evening!What a delight. The beds are comfortable and the showers hot.
