When we checked in, we were tricked into signing up for a sales presentation. When I tried to get out of it, I discovered we would be penalized a $50 fee if we didn't endure it since we had technically agreed to it, even though it wasn't adequately explained at check in. « This was a great hotel to stay out prior to our cruise. It was very elegant, clean, and had different activities to do. The pool area was great for our family and every single one of the staff members was very helpful. We could not have asked for better service. We most definitely want to stay here again and try the steakhouse. If you want to splurge and have a great time at Galveston, do not hesitate to book this hotel because you will not regret it. »
