'Silver Lake is a beautiful location and having cabins to rent on the lake side is pretty special. The cabins are old and rather quirky, but you can over look some inconveniences, like luke warm water, missing chairs for dining, no plugs in the sinks and even a mouse in your room. But when we checked in they charge me for the room even though I had paid for it . I had to find my credit card bill to show I had paid for the room. 'Black Bear Lodge was such a nice surprise! The rooms and decor are tasteful and very comfortable, and the true test is the quality linens and towels and extra pillows without asking. The grounds show personal touches like flower beds, raised planters, terraced areas with multiple seating options, and best of all is the total peace and quiet.
