Cottages in Fern Acres

'Loved the ambiance. A Relaxing stay close enough to Hilo and Volcano Park plus other attractions.'

'Loved this location! We had a great stay. The cottage is not air conditioned, but it's very shaded and with the fans provided it didn't matter. The WiFi is very spotty, but it's a rural location, so that wasn't shocking. We were close enough to Volcanoes National Park that we got there before anyone else was even at the summit, which was incredible. There were a few restaurants within driving distance, but we appreciated the host's caution that most places close early and it's best to get...

'Fabulous host and location. Beautiful scenery. Very peaceful. If getting away from it all is what you're after, this is the place. Lots of space in the cottage, and it has everything you need.'

'No better location to Kahena Beach! Everything you need for a comfortable time.'

'AC in the bedroom was a godsend after a warm day!'

'Great place to stay. No real cell phone service, so take a screen shot before you go so you have the door code.'

'Jade was extremely helpful and thorough in helping us to coordinate our stay. The lava temple was a really unique and special place to stay. We only wish we had more time there!'

'We absolutely loved our stay here. The location was perfect for visiting the Volcano National Park. It literally was just a 5 minute drive to the park entrance so we were able to drive into the park on the night of our stay to see the venting from the volcano. The unit itself was beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed. And it was certainly an immersive experience being in the middle of the rainforest. I would 100% recommend a stay here and would love to visit it again...

'Great place. Loved the cold plunge and hot tubs. My teens even enjoyed the trundle bed! Tiny home living but cozy and had everything my family of 4 needed.'

'This place was immaculate! The vibe was relaxed and cool-such a gem. It was perfect for a couple and location was quiet and peaceful.'

'Great property! Clean, spacious, everything we needed and great spot as a home base while exploring the park!'

'Very nice cottage tucked back in the rainforest, room was beautiful and the heater provided was more than enough.'

'Host was prompt in getting back to me and answering all my questions. This rental is very close to Volcano National Park. Beds and pillows were super comfy including the murphy bed. Would rent again!!!'
