'We had a lovely stay at the Royal Oak. Hannah was extremely helpful and was quick to respond when i accidentally deleted the message with the keycode! The room was extremely comfortable and clean. We had a superb meal in the pub, and the staff were very friendly. The room was peaceful and quiet, and we enjoyed the views and a glorious sunset. 'Lovely, clean room reflecting the character of the hotel and bathroom was modern & contemporary. Despite being on the busy high street my room was quiet and I had a good night’s sleep, the bed was big and linen was lovely and crisp. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. 'Lovely clean and comfortable room and well thought out. Set around a quiet courtyard and so much nicer than a typical hotel and noisy corridors. ideal place for a short break and exploring the area. 'Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect.'
