« If your looking for tranquility this is the place. I suprised my wife for her birthday with a weekend away and some much needed down time. We canoed the pond and walked the trails. The beaver's occasionally swam by and we were visited by the blue jays and the gray jays. Bring your candles for those candle lit evenings, remember no hydro. « We enjoyed the cottage! Our host Sherri got in touch to ensure that we had a way to get to the cottage as it’s water access only. We arrived to a neat and tidy place. Swimming off the dock was enjoyed by our youngest who is 4 and our oldest at 17!! Fishing from the dock or picking any location on Ravens lake with either the row boat, canoe or kayak (all provided) was awesome for all of us! The lake is a good size to cruise in the boat and just explore and we also did some tubing. Very friendly...

« After a very rocky start, our family weekend turned out to be a very good time. We had been given the wrong lock box code and wifi address/password, so we couldn't get into the property or contact the owner. Luckily a neighbour across the street was very kind, and allowed me to come in and use her wifi, so I could send a note to the owner through the site. « Very clean and quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. Had a really great time with our friends. Would definitely recommend for a simple and very quiet getaway! « Beautiful place ! Everything was in good condition. Well stocked with dishes, amenities and water activities (boat, canoe, kayaks). Beautiful gazebo and cozy cabins. Less privacy than expected with neighbouring cottages and an early quiet time (9pm). One thing we would have liked to know ahead of time was having to bring all garbage home with us. Check in and check out was straightforward. Hosts were quick to answer messages and super helpful. Was the perfect setting for our girls weekend. »

« Our 2 night stay was great. The quiet was just what we needed. Clean and very organized cottage. There was everything we needed already there (minus food & drink). There is a small store in Gooderham, & Minden or Haliburton were @ 30min away. The lake was calm and not busy. We didn't get a chance to use the Arcade, but there was foosball, darts and others games for kids. Hot tub was nice. Its only a 2 person (or 4 Kevin Harts). The sauna was nice. Took a bit to the fire going, but got it ....

« Brandon’s cottage exceeded our expectation. It was very clean and comfortable. The weather did not cooperate and was rainy, but the sauna was so nice. Will definitely be back and hope to get the chance to spend time outside enjoy enjoying sitting on the dock, using kayaks, canoe and sitting around a warm fire. »

« Terrible experience. Host never showed and vrbo dropped the ball on making it right. Had to self lodge for three nights of one week vacation. Then vrbo stuck me at some backwoods fishing camp. Still have not recovered refund or costs of self lodging when they assured me that I would receive both. Terrible customer service and overall vacation experience from hell. Never using vrbo ever again. »

There was also plenty of space indoors and outdoors to spread out throughout the day, with lots of things to do (as described in the listing). « This property was very clean but dated. We had a good restful time. The old Wigemog Inn is next door. In the thirties it was going place with the likes of Jimmy Dorsey playing there. The rich would come from Toronto to stay the summer. The Inn has been left to rot by its last owner. It looks like a eyesore. As a result investment in upgrading at Haliburton Heights has been put on hold till they get the inn demolished. »
