'The hotel is about a 10 minute Uber-drive to the city centre and it is surrounded by a nice park. The food is quite decent and check-in and check-out are smooth. The hotel is a basic American-British 80s-90s hotel (now taken over by the Leonardo group) with dated carpets and rooms that need a renovation. I would not give this 4 stars, 3 max. The beds are ok, the pillows are excellent and a bathroom is outdated. It is small, does not have any 4-star amenities nor equipment and - to paraphrase a...

'The staff was very friendly and helpful. The city centre is a 35 - 40 minute walk. You can also take the bus which stops 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The rooms aren't very special but will do for a short stay'

'Second stay at this hotel. Staff is very nice, beautiful surroundings and great location. Breakfast was very good.'

'Zeer goed hotel op een ideale plek in het centrum, alles op loopafstand. Goed en uitgebreid ontbijt buffet.'

'Nice hotel walking distance from the city center. Only remarks I have: - WiFi in the room was extremely unstable - No bottled waters in the room'

'Very 'Oxford' style hotel. A little wear & tear in my single room. Room was a little too warm for my liking and opening the window was quite tricky for fresh air (no airco - or at least airco not working at this time of year). Rusty and leaking kettle in the room.'

'No elevator onsite, mainly full English breakfast, horrible smell in the hallways'

'Check in was good. The room is small.'

'Be aware that the hotel has bizarre Chinese showers that require a PhD in shower management to operate. Also the breakfast staff has trouble communicating with the kitchen staff. Otherwise okay hotel'

'The room is huge! the bed was so comfy we like it very much. The breakfast was fantastic! I highly recommended this hotel.'

'Keurig hotel voor een leuk familiebezoek aan Oxford. Prima hotel met excellente service. We komen vast terug!'

'Schone handdoeken en beddengoed, fijne airco maar ligging op de begane grond direct aan de straat niet fijn'

'Kamer is bescheiden maar schoon en verder prima. Je kunt eten in het hotel, maar in de directe omgeving zijn geen restaurants. Ligt op behoorlijke afstand van Axford'
