'We were hoping to use the pool. It was NOT USABLE DUE TO the WATER BEING CLOUDY. The room had a bleach smell. We were promised a “free breakfast”. Instead, we received a granola bar and orange juice with mandarin orange segments at check in.'

'The woman who checked us in was so helpful and friendly!! We were going to our grandsons graduation and she printed off directions to help us. In the evening we couldn't figure out something regarding the cooling system and the TV and the desk clerk came up to the room twice to assist us. They were so friendly and we love staying there.'

'South Shire is a quaint Victorian Inn on Elm Street within walking distance to the center of Bennington, VT. The Inn has a family feel and elegance. We traveled as a couple. It was easy to get to sites and enjoy fine restaurants. The Inn is in keeping with the feel of strength of the Bennington community, as a place for artists, musicians, and people's expression generally to thrive.
