'Long wait at check in. Airco downstairs, but room hot and no airco. Check out time 11.00. But at 10.30 they said we had 10 minutes. Airco unit of downstairs next to room window…. Unbelievable. A lot of noise. Awfull service of front desk. Mostly not occupied and you have to call an outside number with your cell. Best hotel of Colchester. What a Joke. '

'way too expensive for what you get.. no internet, well trhere is but you'll end up paying for the premium because you have to wait for 5 min to load a website. pay extra for the beakfast to a room that is already 100 eruro??? the parking is limited for like 20 cars... '

'Excellent friendly staff very clean hotel though out the only thing that could have been better was the lunch and dinner menu not much choices also I noticed pool quite cold for me and shower and bath water was just warm not hot and I like a hot bath not a warm bath. '

'Lovely hotel on the edge of campus. Lots of atmosphere, impeccably clean rooms, and very friendly staff. After a busy week in London, the beautiful surrounds, fresh air and peace of Wivenhoe House were just perfection. We had two rooms for our party of three, both in the modern part of the hotel and both excellent. We especially enjoyed the room with a balcony overlooking the grounds. 'A lovely quirky hotel in the centre of Southwold. The staff were brilliant in every area: reception, breakfast, bar, dinner. While the room was quite small, there were nice touches. Free parking is a bonus. It’s an old building so don’t expect air conditioning and there’s lots of creaky staircases. The seagulls are noisy in the morning but you’d expect that being next to the sea. We had breakfast and dinner both nights and the food quality was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend this...

'Is exactly what you can expect from an easyhotel. Affordable price for a small room. Would not pay more than 50 pounds as that is enough. The floor-layering (pvc or such) in the room was detaching from the base floor which made it a bit look old. Surroundings from the hotel seem nice, we arrived late and left early so cannot fully judge. The room was clean.'

'Waren er een lang weekend, verbleven in een aangepaste invalidekamer, daar was alles erg laag georiënteerd op het knopje van de ventilator van de douche na, die zat bijna bij plafond. Laatste ochtend koude douche, maar werd gelukkig wel gecompenseerd met gratis ontbijt. Drukke straat, maar ook heel leuk, je zit dan wel midden in de stad. '
