'We were assigned a room when we arrived and when we went to the room as soon as you opened the door you could smell mold. We went to the front desk and they gave us another room but that room had the carpet wet where the fridge was and the room seemed like it was getting mold too'

'Beds really sink in a lot in areas, although many reviews say the have new beds. Breakfast was pretty weak with fried eggs and sausage every day, no oatmeal, weak cold coffee'

'The property inside was worn and dirty, one of our beds was broken , Took 30 minutes for hot water to heat in shower. Changed rooms and the toilet didn’t work! Would not comp a night but did give 15% off'

'First off, it’s probably the best option if you’re looking between Salina & Topeka in terms of safety and placement. It’s old but the breakfast was all really above average. The biggest issue we had was the smell in our room. It smelled like huge amounts of pinesol covering up a chainsmokers room. It was a lot. The water pressure was pretty bad. There weren’t any plugs near the nightstand. It was just an old smelly hotel. Not the worst. Breakfast was a relief. I hope they can afford some...

'Daisy offered the warmest welcome and great advice to take a walk through the cute historic business district nearby. I felt like I was visiting somewhere cool with lovely people and vibes, not just crashing while traveling cross country. Room was perfect and had the best desk work station.'

'Bonnie the front desk, receptionist, was fantastic wonderful employee very helpful with everything. I believe she deserves a raise. She is a great employee and I would not let her go if I was the Company. The bed was comfortable the room was clean, just with the remodel, there are a few minor aesthetic issues but nothing major, I did enjoy my stay. Thank you.'

'Tim, our host, was friendly, knowledgeable and generous with his time. We very much enjoyed the tour of his beautiful home and garden. The candlelight breakfast complete with champagne flutes was truly memorable. We would absolutely stay here again.'

'The kitchen had snacks, coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. that was nice. Soaking in the tub was a wonderful experience. The steps were a little challenge (We are 70) but the handrail made it work. It is a lovely place to stay with books to read, games to play. We found ear plugs in the drawer by the bed but did not really need them. We enjoyed hearing the train and it did not come by too often. All of the attractions in Wamego are within walking distance. It was a relaxing superb location. I...
