Hotels can be beautiful and noisy, this place was like a little slice of heaven. Stay there you won’t be disappointed. John was very good at keeping in touch and seeing if we needed anything. 'What a beautiful property! Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, so we did not get to enjoy as much of the grounds as we would have liked. But we had a very enjoyable stay during Virginia Tech parents weekend. It was an easy trip to and from Blacksburg, and the house offered us a great space to hang out as a family away from the congestion of campus. 'Comfortable house on a country road running through Jefferson National Forest, about 10 minutes from Appalachian Trail, 30 from Roanoke -- like staying in a cabin but with better facilities. Nice patio area with Christmas lights and enclosed structure you can sit under to stay out of rain or sun, next to a rushing steam you can see and hear from inside the cabin. 'It was good place to stay for Parent’s weekend at virginia tech. About 30 minutes from the school. Feels slightly longer due to being in rural area but easy drive. Price was reasonable, beds were very comfortable. It gets very dark, I feel there should be more nightlights and my only issue was the scented detergent or spray on the sheets, we are all allergic to smells so it was a making us sniffy.
