This villa was the absolute pinnacle of what oceanfront vacationing and living should be. Check in was easy with Miriam greeting us with a tour of the property that exceeded every expectation that the amazing photos had already set. They were incredible about accommodating food sensitivities and preferences for the breakfast menu, so don’t be shy to ask about that in advance; we had a wheat allergy, strawberry allergy, almond allergy, dairy allergy, and vegan amongst our lot, and they made every meal accessible to our entire group and made sure dishes were well known if incompatible with any one person’s diet. Housekeeping was excellent and returned the place to pristine every day. The decorations and design were thoughtful and soothing. But the gem of this house is, of course, the oceanfront exterior. The cabana, pool, hammocks, and porch living spaces made the absolute most for our group to have together time and more intimate spaces aplenty for bonding and relaxation. (And if you’re a snorkeler, or even a diver on your off time, the snorkeling is incredible; I spotted a mature and juvenile drum fish within 50 yards of the ladder access with the juvenile right on the property’s edge, and so many other fun critters along the wall.) For night owls, there are floodlights on the property’s oceanfront that make for easy night swimming and floating under the stars. The surf is minimal and my group never had an issue getting in or out on the ladder structure, an issue I’ve had at other oceanfront properties at tide changes. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms immaculate and thoughtfully designed. Truly, I have no notes on improving this home. It is oceanfront property perfection in every square inch, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you so much to the staff who made it such a magical time.
For other logistics, I highly recommend a car or two depending on your party’s size. There’s room for two vehicles under the carport and we never had any issues with that whatsoever. Down the road, Hemingway is an excellent beachfront bar and restaurant with a trendy nightclub vibe. Grab one of the tables at beach level for a quieter atmosphere and more ocean surf ambience. Street parking is easy to find, and it became a regular afternoon and evening hang for our group.
