'Room was clean and the ocean view was excellent! Wi-Fi worked fine. The extra free amenities were very nice like the bike rentals, mini-cooler, ice, and nice thick beach towels. Swimming pool was very nice with a decorative waterfall. Across the bike bath was a small sand beach but nice. A homeless couple were living in some bushes and trees across from the hotel but were hidden from view. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again .'

'Glad we stayed at Royal Sonesta for a week. My family had a great time. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi were clean and we spent a lot of time in water. The kalpaki beach access is a great convenience. The food at kukui restaurant was great. The staff were very helpful and the concierge helped me plan out my week to my requirements. The walkway in between the beach and Sonesta provided for some scenic evening walks. The location is ideal. It's close to the airport and many other attractions are...

'This is an awesome stay in Lihue, worked great for us as a landing site for the first few days, and loved that they keep it old school. Loved the office area with all the history. If we come back to Kauai we will stay here the whole trip. '

'Definitely not a 4 star resort. First we were charged an amenity fee which they explained covered having a washer and dryer in the condo, a pool, and first come first served parking. Gave 3 stars because the manager did round up other amenities listed in the listing (blender, dish drain, bowls, glasses, etc) and because of the inconvenience she refunded half the amenities fee. The condo itself was old and in need of upgrades. Sofa was old and worn with cushion zippers broken in the open...
