'We really enjoyed staying here, would have never known about Vinalhaven otherwise! The cottage was close to the town, so it was easy to get to everything on the island for the few days we were there. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our stay, we were able to unwind without worry. 'It was our first time renting here and we absolutely loved it! We rented sea kayaks and had THE MOST amazing time paddling all around Long Cove! While out on the water, we spotted herons, seals, terns, cormorants, and bald eagles—unforgettable moments that will stay with us a lifetime. Vanessa and Paul were kind, communicative, and incredibly gracious hosts. 'We stayed here for two nights with my parents and our three children. It is a beautiful rustic log cabin in the woods surrounded by trees. We enjoyed using the stone log fireplace every evening. The kitchen has the basics and the beds were comfortable. The cabin has baseboard heaters. The location was very convenient to Boothbay Harbor.'

'Totally enjoyed staying here, and definitely would book this house again. The kids loved the kayaks, the paddle board and fishing from the dock. It is tucked away in a woodsy, peaceful setting but just a short drive to Camden. '

'Property was very nice. A few things needed upgrades. The grill was rusty and we couldn’t use it. The bathtub needed a grab bar. The treads to the dock were very slippery when wet because of mold. And a couple of treads leading down to dock were loose. We enjoyed boating and fishing was great. It was also nice to have boat ramp so close to cottage and our boat right on our dock. '

'A lovely little cabin with nice furniture, a well appointed kitchen (with a dishwasher and nice pots and pans), a high end grill, etc. as well as great common spaces with the screened in porch being a highlight. Sprucewold was gorgeous, with the beach club being immaculate.I’ve stayed many places in Lincoln County, ME and this is a good one. Especially if you’re looking for a family friendly, dog friendly, clean cabin.'

'The cottage was lovely; there was everything we needed. The gas fireplace was wonderful so nice for cool evenings. The kitchen had all the basics for fixing a meal; but being half way between Belfast and Camden you have some wonderful places to eat! Also both towns offer a wide variety or shopping opportunities (no large box stores here!). The rocky coast lines is lovely!'

'Great location, beautiful views the electric features needs “ Attention “ to prevent an accident. ( floor lamp next to chimney, lamp outside bathroom (hallway) brown lamp in bookcase doesn’t work. Outdoor grill needs replacement parts, new burner on the right side. Everything else great !'

'We had a lovely stay. Very comfortable king size bed with plenty of good pillows. Shower had wonderful pressure! Kitchen well equipped. Quiet and view over lake serene. Enjoyed the loon and bald eagle. Best for 2 people bunk room very small. Would recommend and come back ourselves, but longer stay. serene.'

"Honestly, we really wanted to give a 5 star review, just because Marc was such a great host. But all in all our experience was a bit disappointing - considering what we paid. We had booked a cottage but it was actually a room in a cottage with several other rooms in it. The room itself did not offer the right value for money. It was clean and the bed was great, but everything else felt and looked tired and worn. The curtains looked like they hadn't been replaced since the 90s. There was no microwave or fridge in the room. There was a coffee maker but no condiments to go with it. Camden is a charming place to stay and the High Tide Inn is right on the ocean shore, which probably explains the rates. But if Marc wants to make this place work, he needs to do some work on the place. "
