'The Occidental Lodge is a very charming, old-school lodge that is well-maintained and absolutely spotless. My favorite part was that there were no smells at all in the room, which I loved!The lodge is located in a tiny, quiet town that I would describe as a micro-country town. If you are planning a weekday stay, just keep in mind that the only things open are a little market and a breakfast café that closes at 3:00 PM. 'The resort was very nice, and the restaurant was very good, selling local oysters. The place is also very quiet. We had almost no interactions with staff and the check-in was through an envelope left for us at the closed office. The pool was closed and there is no hot tub. The place is very remote but great for exploring Point Reyes.'
