'The staff were lovely. The room was very fashionable and would appeal to young people, I think. As an oldie, I found the shower really hard to deal with: no signs to tell you which knob controlled the temperature, so I had to stand under almost scalding water trying out both kmobs in both directions to adjust it . There was no mat and no handle. As I’m 77 and have a bad back, I was in constant danger of slipping. And the style of shower means you cannot hand-hold it. So I felt that modern design...

'Check-in and out were quick and friendly. The staff were busy but always pleasant and willing to help. My dinner was OK and breakfast excellent. The room was clean, my mattress a little lumpy and a fan would have been useful during the unusual heat wave. Overall I would definitely recommend the White Horse to any visitor.'
