Sycamore Tree Barn is a luxurious 5-star converted barn that offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and contemporary elegance. Expertly refurbished, the property retains its original farm stonework while embracing a modern, sleek interior, creating a space that’s both stylish and warm.
Ideal for families or group get-togethers, this spacious barn features a state-of-the-art kitchen complete with a 50/50 fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric oven, and an impressive 6-ring gas hob, perfect for preparing everything from casual breakfasts to celebration feasts.
Meals can be enjoyed in the signature open plan dining area, where a large table seats up to 14 guests comfortably, setting the stage for memorable evenings shared around good food and conversation.
The main lounge includes a stunning 12-seater sofa, wood-burning stove set within a traditional fireplace, and a TV with DVD player, while a second lounge or reading area provides an additional quiet space for adults or children to unwind.
A utility room is equipped with a sink, washing machine, and a WC with a large shower.
Upstairs, four thoughtfully designed bedrooms await:
Bedroom 1 features a king-size and a single bed with its own en-suite, complete with bath, separate shower, and WC.

Bedroom 2 includes both a king-size and a double bed and connects via a lockable internal door to Bedroom 3.

Bedroom 3 has a king-size bed of its own.

Bedroom 4 offers a cosy double bed.

Each room is fitted with a TV, a dressing table with stool and mirror and ample storage.

The master bathroom includes a bath with overhead shower, WC, sink and heating towel rail for fluffy warm towels. Guests can indulge in complimentary Black Pepper & Sandalwood shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Outside, guests can enjoy a private patio with ample seating for outdoor dining, a built-in charcoal BBQ, and significant lawn space perfect for family games or lounging in the sunshine.
The private hot tub is a firm favourite, ideal for winding down after a day exploring the Brecon Beacons. Please note, the hot tub is not suitable for children under 16 or pregnant women, and may take up to 12 hours to heat as it is emptied, cleaned, and refilled between each stay.
The barn sits amidst the serene surroundings of Onnen Fawr’s farmland, with access to further acres and private fishing rights along the River Crai. For larger groups, Sycamore Tree Barn can be booked alongside Ash Tree Cottage (sleeps 6) and Onnen Fawr Farmhouse (sleeps 8), offering combined accommodation for up to 25 guests.
