« My wife and I spent two nights at the Manor House Inn while exploring Hadrian's Wall and other nearby Roman sites. We totally enjoyed it. From a great breakfast in the morning to an excellent pub / restaurant in the evening, everything was great. The staff was super hospitable and the housekeeping was excellent. Internet connectivity was also excellent. Highly recommended when you're planning on visiting Hadrian's Wall. »

Considering it was double would.not expect bathroom to.have a small.cloakroom size sink with no where to put anything and shower cubicle not spacious . Bed comfy. Felt we got short straw on room . « Troutbeck Inn is a gem of a place. The owners are lovely and we had a good laugh with them. The food is second to none and is locally sourced and cooked fresh. We stayed for 2 nights in September whilst walking around the Ullswater area and the location is superb. Right by a main road for good access but without an intrusive noise from the road. I'm sure we will be staying here again if we plan more walks in future. »
