« Clean cottage with well stocked kitchen equipment as well as board games and selection of books. Nice quiet location for local walks and quick and easy to get into the Forest of Dean. »

« Je reste ici souvent pour le travail, j ai déjà relevé plusieurs fois »

« The price was low and the amenities basic but all in all for the price paid no complaints. We had to pay )5 for parking which was unexpected but ok . However ten days later received a parking ticket for unpaid overnight parking from a separate private parking firm. On calling the hotel the hotel immediately voided the ticket . »

« La fenetre de la chambre donne directement sur le hall d'entrée... étrange quand même... rentabilité des metre carrés... le fric et encore le fric... »

« Ideal for Chepstow racecourse. Not much else about the area without walking or taxis. On checki the weirdest thing happened they wouldn’t take payment and told me was a,ready paid for. Rooms we had were small but the bed was comfy. Rooms ok some could do with a lick of paint. Mattress on the bed was a bit worn - I could feel the springs a bit, so that could do with a replacement but it was a generally really comfortable and relaxed stay. Food was very good - very nice cooked breakfast and I had one evening meal which was very generous. As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable and the staff...

« Wonderful accommodations in a most beautiful part of our world. The building is very old and this is not perfect. For us it was perfect. An excellent breakfast each morning and dinner and pints in the evening. Plenty to see nearby. We look forward to visiting again. »

« Excellent scenic location next to the river. Amazing breakfast choices. Evening meals were always very good and sometimes exceptional. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would hope to return. »

« Great welcome easy check in and friendly team 😁. We arrived late after a long drive - the venue is an old pub with rooms. We navigated our way to the top floor room. As we arrived Halloween weekend we thought the dust and cobwebs in the room were part of the theme. 👻 The carpet around the bed and doors hadn’t been hoovered for months. A layer of dust was on all the light fittings and cobwebs everywhere - bed and pillows weren’t great and we could hear the noise from the high street, boy...
