'I stayed at Baan Kalaya Garden for a week. I was travelling alone on a Motorcycle Tour of Thailand and after 14 days of riding from Chaing Mai. I wanted to stay and explore Phuket. I like small Mom and Pop motels instead of huge impersonal hotels. If you want 5 star spa and pool then this is not for you. But if you want to stay in a very clean welcoming friendly motel, than this is for you. It's in a good residential area close to the main road about two blocks walking distance to a 7-11 and...

'I got food poisoning from a street kitchen the night before travelling home. The host was very helpful and understanding. Making sure I was ok. The place is clean and in green surroundings. A little traffic noise from nearby mainstreet. '

'I had the room at the front of the building. The room was spacious, with two huge windows, so plenty of light. The view is good at eye level and above. It was well decorated and pleasant. On the down side, it overlooks the main road so is rather noisy. During the day, it's a continuous drone, so it fades into the background. At night, earplugs! These are kindly provided. Be aware, the other rooms face onto a wall.'

'Gerard and his wife went above and beyond. From when we arrived to inquire about available. We were ask to join them for dinner. We had already purchased are food. But the gesture was fantastic. Gerard was also helpful in directing us how to hike to the near by waterfall. I unfortunately didnt take any pictures of the property, but please take my word for it, it is well worth the stay. '
