'This little but beautiful cottage is just what a couple needs to getaway from their usual lives or to celebrate an anniversary, as my Wife and I did. Very clean room/s, some of the best views right outside your windows and so very quiet. This place will definitely keep you at peace. The drive to the cottage is very pleasant and along the way to the cottage you get met with beautiful mountain terrain. Close to a few nice lakes and not far from Arthur's Pass either. 'We stayed 1 night, we were passing through (off season). Few guests, all quiet, morning breakfast alright, price was fair. Shower and restrooms adequate with soap and plenty of hot water, towels provided in good condition. The only issue i had was that this lodge was very far from the road, up a gravel road with no guard rails at all. Either it was not disclosed or i didnt find it on the website. Very scary getting up to the lodge after sunset, in the dark, dodging rabbits left and right.'

'The view is the only positive. Is old, smells like wet dog ands is very noisy. The bar has loud music till late and is very present in the room. Pictures online are from the back part. An economy room is in the old part and the small letters says the bathroom and restroom are shared.... Stains in the floor and cold in the room. There aren't even any sockets for phone charging because of the crappy heater in the very cold room. WiFi doesn't work and breakfast is next to nothing. Share shower is...
