Hôtel près de Arche de Whalebone (Whitby)

« Great hostel, amazing location. Very clean even though the property is older. »

« In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that must have been spectacular in the past, as neither it or the staff deserve it being left in this state. »

« We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings »

« The room was ok but was not serviced daily. The heating only came on for around an hour in the morning and as it is October perhaps should have been a couple of hours at night. The staff were polite and friendly. »

« Absolutely wonderful place we loved every minute! »

« Amazing little place right in the heart of Whitby. Location is perfect, very clean and very quiet. Staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again »

« Lovely warm and cosy cottage, fantastic location. »

« The room was lovely and very comfortable. I had some difficulty with the stairs both in the accommodation and in the outer building because of my mobility, so I would warn others of the steepness of the stairs. Everything was very clean and well presented, plenty of continental breakfast choices, tea and coffee etc. This would only have been improved by a more practical washing up facility than the bathroom sink. Having said that though, the bathroom was spotlessly clean. »

« The location of the cottage is excellent, right next to the river Esk and on a very quiet holiday park (in April anyway). There is an amazing viaduct over the river where there is bungy jumping every couple of weeks during the summer and you can walk over it into Whitby which is only 30 mins away on foot. The pool is NOT 24 hrs as advertised and you have to pay. The property can be a bit difficult to find because the name plaque of the plot is covered by an overgrown hydrangea. If you use what 3...

« Only thing wrong was we didn’t stay long enough. We loved this little cottage. It’s a beautiful little home away from home. Whitby was fantastic as well. Wish we’d known ahead of time how much we would love it so we could have booked a longer stay. »

« The property is beautiful, absolutely spotlessly clean, very comfortable and lots of lovely added touches. Our only problem was hotels.com show it in the wrong location on their map. I booked it as it showed beside the station but it is actually not there, it is higher up the hill behind the town. All other listings seem to be correct so seems to be a hotels.com problem »

« L'emplacement face à la mer est vraiment appréciable. On peut prendre son thé, préparé dans la chambre, sur un banc et admirer le paysage. On peut aller dans la vieille ville facilement à pied. »

« Spotless apartment lovely location enjoyed every minute slept every night too enjoyed little gift pack that was left out for us no faults thankyou »

« We loved it, really central. »

« Lovely cottage. Only moments from the harbour, and seconds from a micro-pub! Great! Scratchcard parking provided for "W Zone", so all good. Plenty of living room seating, dining table, and a real fire (but we had no need to light it). Very comfy bed, large bath with shower »
