Cottages in North East England

'Very nice cottage plenty of room for 6 people and close to all local amenities. Beach is about a 15min walk away but not a problem. Harbour is just at the bottom of the road and plenty of benches to sit and relax. My only issue with all properties on this street/road not just this one is parking. You can literally park one car per property and then still have to ask people to move vehicles to get in and out. Other than that loved our stay.'

'This was the best place we stayed in England. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We bought oven ready meals and cooked them. Made a salad. Good times. Lovely garden in back overlooking Pub. It was easy walking to grocery and Pub. '

'Glebe Cottage was a lovely place to stay. The location was superb with views out to sea from the cottage and hot tub. The cottage was well appointed and very clean. I read other people’s reviews so brought some scissors. Bonus of having electric car chargers right outside the cottage. It’s really thoughtful of the owners to mow the edges of the fields so you can easily walk to the coast or to Embleton village without going on the road. 'The property was large and was a good base to use being about 20 minutes from a beach and about 10 minutes walk from a park with swings etc for the grandchildren. It was about 5 minutes drive from an Aldi and Lidl. '

'Excellent cottage in great location, very close to town but quietly tucked away. Everything you need for a stay, all fixtures and fittings of good quality. Only minor niggle is limited windows that open and shower was very slow to drain otherwise highly recommended.'

'Well decorated and equipped 3 bedroom house in a quiet street just off the Main Street in Alnmouth. Private garden was a bonus! '

'We try and come to Otterburn once a year as we love the area. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with tableware amd cutlery. The veds were comfy abd the hot tub was amazing. The only thing that frustrated us was the induction hob, we have never used one before so took a lot of getting used to despite reading the instructions several times.will definitely be returning and will have hopefully mastered the use of an induction hob by then!'

'Absolutely a fantastic stay at a beautiful quiet location. Enjoyed the log fire, watching the barn owls and clear sky's at night.The hosts were very helpful, friendly and accommodating.Looking forward to our next stay.'
