'This starves absolutely awful. There was water dripping from the roof and coming in through the bottom of our door. The property was not prepared for the storm. The hotel was able to love us rooms. This room was terrible the carpet was wet the door wouldn’t even close it was so warped from water. The humidity increased and the rain stopped the room started to smell horribly. I could not wait to check out. I would not recommend staying here ever. We were also charged $40 a day for amenities that...

'Het was een prima complex. We hadden 2 verschillende kamers omdat we tussendoor een nachtje in Hana waren. De 2e kamer vonden we minder, het was een upgrade volgens de vrouw bij de receptie maar zo voelde het niet. In de aparte slaapkamer stond de airo naast je hoofd, niet te doen. Verder genoten van ons verblijf en van Maui. Erg om nu de nieuwsberichten te lezen over alle branden. '

'The staff were all super!! They were friendly and helpful during the super crazy Kona storm which made several areas of the hotel wet and prevented some staff from even making it to work, but we were able to spend time enjoying the view from inside and being outside when it wasn't raining. You can hang out in the lobby after check-out and the shuttle drivers are friendly, too. '

'Parking is tricky. Not enough between sands an beach club. We got a ticket the 2nd night for parking on the street. The spots were all taken and both places. Room was great. Area was awesome. We were told we could use gym and some other ammenities at the sands but that wasn't true. Overall great for the price!'

The balcony was our favorite space - dining table and four chairs, two comfortable chairs with table and a lounge couch….but the view was the winner…ocean, island of Lanai, whale watching, mountains, plus gorgeous views of the pools and grounds. Plants abound on its Lookout Trail and Ethnobotanical Trail, but as “cloud supreme” (to which ‘Iao’s Hawaiian name translates), do know it’s best to arrive in the morning before the fog arrives.
