'An amazing property. No dinner available which was a disappointment after calling ahead the week before to confirm. Short drive to town and a great dinner. Spacious rooms. Nice attention to detail with coffee, tea, larger fridge etc. Quiet and bed was comfy. Charcuterie board and wine plus hot breakfast were excellent as well. Would recommend and would return. '

'The property around the Oban is beautiful. When we were there, they were working on upgrades to the outdoor swimming pool. It looked like it was going to be a wonderful outdoor space when it was finished. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. Our room was lovely and spacious. 'The Expedia website for The Charles Hotel heavily promotes a deep soaker tub as being a feature of a Premium Room, and I switched to this hotel specifically for this reason. I immediately advised the front desk of my disappointment, and I was advised that Premium rooms do not have such tubs (I double checked the Expedia website at the time, the tub was still prominently advertised).
