'De auto kon gratis voor het Hotel geparkeerd worden, maar er is ook een aparte parkeerplaats voor hotelgasten. In het historische pand had ik een wat gedateerde kamer, maar dit was in lijn met de prijs. Ontbijtzaal en café zijn gezellig en bij mooi weer is het lekker buiten op de binnenplaats waar ook locals iets komen drinken. Rustig Engels dorpje.'

'While the room was a bit small, the location was great. You can walk to almost any of the many old-town attractions. There is a decent restaurant/bar below the hotel. The staff was all very friendly. And, as a bonus, there is free secure parking on the lot just behind the hotel (you enter through a gate that goes under the 2nd floor). It's a bit loud until 11:00 (on the weekend) and then very quiet afterward. Despite the crowded room, we loved it and would go back. '

'We had a very friendly welcome and a lovely clean room. The steak and ale pie for dinner, in the restaurant, was excellent.'

'Stayed here on business and ticket all the right boxes. The room was a bit warm though, despite that the heat had dropped off these last few days. Nice bar area and nice selection of ales. The restaurant was in a real pretty setting. Easy parking in the vicinity of the hotel and they even had parking spaces in front of the rooms which are at the back of the property. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff. '

'Nice quiet and clean rooms, right next to York Minster. There's no lift so be prepared to climb a couple of stairs. Overall certainly worth its money.'
