'We only stayed for 1 night but we were so impressed with how comfy, clean and spacious the lodge was and also the location of the hotel such a beautiful setting with the castle very close by really picturesque. Hotel staff were brilliant very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast which was included in the price was delicious and the eggs Benedict were perfect with a nice runny yolk. We’ll definitely stay again as Orford is such a beautiful quaint place to visit.'

'Moved rooms after 1st night as mattress in room 1 was very poor quality. '

'Unfortunately, the hotel reviews from previous guests did not prepare us for the tired and “seen better days” hotel. The exterior paintwork peeling and despite very helpful staff the stairs, corridors and room had seen better days. We decided not to stay but booked another room elsewhere. Shame because we book many hotels through hotels.com and 9/10 have been fine. This was not “up to standard”. Sorry'

'Owners very helpful and pleasant. Ample parking and short walk to accommodation. Dinner was excellent both in choice and presentation and taste, Breakfast there was a lot of various choices and again cooked fresh to order. Overall an excellent venue.'

'Bar was well stocked with what ever you required. There was not a beach view as it was on the street leading to the beach.The room was clean and compacted and the staff were very good and helpful.'
