'I couldn't fault this beautiful spacious home. It had everything we needed for the perfect family get away, and the playroom and trampoline in the garden got a big thumbs up from my grandchildren. The location was great for exploring everything that West Mersea has to offer, especially the seafood! Everyone went away feeling totally relaxed! One big thumbs up for me, was that John the owner greeted me at the property in person to show me how everything worked!'

'De "annexe" is heel mooi, maar wel klein. Het zitgedeelte is zo donker, dat je overdag altijd het licht aan moet doen. Door de omheining is er vanuit de cottage geen zicht op de prachtige omgeving.'

'We really loved this house. It's been beautifully renovated and was spotlessly clean. Its all very functional and easy. The estate agent who manages the house was very easy to deal with, eg when we wanted to stay an extra night. The area has tons to offer (albeit some places are a 40 minute drive). Sutton Hoo just down the road, then Framlingham Castle and Orford Castle, Aldeburgh and Southwold (for any George Orwell fans!). 'For us the parking was difficult. There is a 1 hour restriction in the centre of Woodbridge which made overnight parking a problem. My friend who was the driver is disabled and wasn’t able to walk the distance from the car parks. Apart from that we loved our stay at Glovers Cottage'

'Travelled down for my brother's wedding and had all the family and friends from the states staying. The place was perfect for what we needed and there was plenty of space for us all. Plus the 3 toilets and 2 showers was very handy for everyone getting ready.'

'We stayed in late July at this property and had the most amazing time. The property and site in general boasts great amenities and facilities. The host was very accommodating and even helped unite us with some lost items. My one recommendation would be for the host to get slightly nicer pillows for the twin rooms. But other than that I can’t have any complaints.'

'The property was perfectly situated with local amenities withing walking distance - we didnt have to touch the car for the duration of our get away. The property itself was a great base with more than enough sleeping space for the 6 of us. The only downside that we noticed was the lack of a comfy sitting area after a long day of crabbing down on the jetty. The property did not advertise that it had a living room and did only mention a dining area, an over sight on our part, perhaps reducing...

'It was just myself, my Husband and my 12 yesr old Grandson. The cottage was lovely. Very comfortable and homely. It had a warm and welcoming feel about it. Very close to shops and a short walk to the beach. Spotlessly clean and everything provided by the host for a perfect stay. We hope to go back again very soon.'

'Great house in perfect location. Beautiful garden so close to the beach. Would stay again albeit Frinton has limited food outlets. But you will be more than happy if you book this property. Take your own towrls as none provided. Otherwise nothing to complain about.'

'Nice property - but easy to lock yourself out of front door if you leave the key inside. Clean and spacious You have to pick up key from estate agent in town and then pay £100 deposit... which is a bit annoying and unclear at time of booking...'

'Overall interior of the property was in relatively good condition. This was let down by the extremely run down exterior. Gutters and woodwork had hardly any paint left on them. The rest of the exterior was dirty and the garden was untidy. The grass needed cutting. A good property let down by a shabby look.'
