'large rooms light and airy (upstairs , downstairs seemed like they may be a little dark and there would be people walking past all the time) steps to upper floor slippy in the tropical weather so be aware if this is a thing for you. all staff, like everywhere in Antigua very friendly and helpful (one minor exception - housekeeping on day of departure a little rude / brusk). quite location , except gardening noise most days (they have to be maintained) walking distance to restaurants but...

'Don’t be fooled by the classification “Suite”. They’re just standard hotel rooms. So no separate bedroom. Staff varies dramatically from friendly, via uninterested to just rude (especially in body language). Items missing or exchanged without notification from ordered food. And several items on the menu are not available. '

'The staff around the hotel was friendly and welcoming. My room was in a perfect location for a quiet and restful few days. The views around the resort were beautiful. Having the ability to go to Prickly Pear Beach from the shoreline was an added bonus. There were plenty of lounge chairs around the adult pool and beach. Overall, I came to Antigua to get away from the cold weather in New York and to relax, and The Hodges definitely helped me achieve both of those goals.'
