'Friendly and helpful staff. Location right next to a loud bar, so keep in mind to bring earplugs. Bed was extremely comfortable. Property apperantly was "renovated", but seemed still under renovation. You could almost taste the paint in the room. Perhaps it would've been better to accept to have one night without guests after painting during renovations instead of trying to fill up the motel anyhow. '

'I wish I had known about the major renovations before I booked this hotel. Construction started early in the morning so I was woken up before 8 AM every morning to some kind of beeping going on outside of my window. All ice machines are down so being on the fifth floor I had to take the elevator down every time I wanted ice and ask the front desk to fill my bucket which was a major inconvenience. 'The Russell is a cute and unique hotel. I love the stained glass windows, they really stand out. Management was so communicative and welcoming, and made sure the check-in and checkout processes were super simple. The room had everything we needed and I loved the smart tv so I could stream my movies. I would definitely stay there again and have recommended this hotel to my friends!'

'We had the honeymoon suite, which was fantastic.It was huge and appropriately decorated for the era. The grounds aren't huge, but they're very well maintained. It's in a very convenient location to pretty much anywhere around nashville. The breakfast each morning was fantastic.'
