Property apperantly was "renovated", but seemed still under renovation. You could almost taste the paint in the room. 'I am giving a lukewarm review because of the renovations taking place. My stay was from Monday to Sunday and I picked this hotel based on its location to the Gaylord and the amenities listed. Due to the renovation the pool was inoperable and there was one elevator until Thursday. These were inconveniences that I would not have chosen if I knew there was renovations going on. 'The Russell was an awesome stay. It's a very modern way of lodging - everything is text and code driven. There isn't a reception desk or bell-hop, which I found refreshing. The place is beautiful with the old church decor like stained glass and exposed rafters but with really modern rooms with every amenity you need. I found the staff (via text) to be super receptive and helpful - I had a slight issue out of the control of anyone and they handled it perfectly. I would definitely stay there...
