'The room was exceptionally clean. It was updated and everything was in working order.'

'The room was very dated and therefore didn’t appear clean…but it was. The view out of the dirty window was another building‘s window. One had to walk over to the main hotel to get bath towels. There is no phone to connect to the hotel lobby. Unusual inconveniences.'

The cost of this hotel increased by $200 between clicking reserve and making my payment. $680 for one night was way overpriced, but we were feeling capricious and figured it was better than just staying home all weekend. The staff are extremely nice and helpful, we had no problem finding parking across the street, the room was very clean and comfortable, though the wall-sized photo of people on the beach creeped me...

'Showboat is not a casino anymore. It’s an amusement facility/arcade. Lots of children! No real restaurants on premises, just vending and a cafe. The guest room was adequate but basic. There was no blow dryer. The ice maker wasn’t working. But the bed was comfortable and we were only staying one night, so it fit our needs.'
