If you prefer traveling by subway, the bus goes by a couple subway stations: Potomac Ave Station (12 mins from house with light traffic) and Eastern Market Subway Station (18 minutes from house with light traffic). Both are on the Blue, Orange and Silver subway lines. Recommended grocery stores, retailers and restaurants are near Eastern Market Subway Station.
