'loved the cabin. the area in general was really nice. the sign makes it easily identifiable from the road. the setup inside and on the patio was perfect. negatives: I never received an email or was contacted before check in. I had to text and then call twice to get the code for the door to get in 1 hour before arrival. that was stressful while making the drive up. the bathroom could have been cleaner. hair and debris from previous renters. '

'What a view! This quaint, rustic cottage boasts a gorgeous view of the lake from its living room window. It is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We spent our days exploring Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, chasing waterfalls and seeing local sights. Our evenings were spent sipping wine by a fire in the beautiful stone fireplace. My husband enjoyed fishing from the dock in the mornings. We would book this cabin again if we returned to the area.'

'The property is easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes and the harbor. There was ample parking. The door and lock are secure. Decor is cozy with a small living room, kitchen, and two bedrooms. The beds and linens were very supportive and comfortable. To me, a comfortable bed is the most important part of a good VRBO, and these were great!The bedroom and bathroom doors are louvered, I presume for circulation. 'Overall we had a good experience at our stay even though it rained about a third of the time. Scenic, private and quiet. Meghan was good at communicating with us if we had questions. We would definitely recommend to others. '

'This cabin, location and lake were the perfect antidote for an amazing relaxing vacation. The pictures do not share the wonderful size windows and views of the lake. The high point of this trip was spending lots of time on the water with the owners paddle board, kayak and canoe. 'The started off a little rocky, but our host was most helpful. We enjoyed wonderful weather (even thunderstorms in the UP are amazing), saw unmatched natural beauty, and managed to find a few special rocks. We definitely will come back.'

'Traveling with 3 adults, 3 kids 1-13 and 2 dogs and we all fit. Cottage was very clean, air conditioner worked wonderfully and communication with the host was prompt. The kids loved the fishing, kayaks and paddle boats. The neighbors were great and very friendly. I highly recommend Van Cleve park and Gladstone beach if your traveling with kids. Even the neighborhood dog “Gus” was welcoming '

'We stayed here several nights. It was easy to get to. The cabin was fully furnished. Right on the river. Centrally located to what we were visiting in the area. Host was quick to respond. It is a rustic area and the cabin felt rustic as well. We couldn’t beat the view! Would return, for sure! '

'The cottage was great. The kitchen had everything we needed. We were able to see lakers/ships pass in front of the cabin when the weather was clear as well as see stars from inside the cabin with the large picture windows. There is one bedroom with a double and twin bed and there was a king bed in the master bedroom which was very comfortable. 'Brought niece and her 2 teens to visit family in Gladstone. 12 yo nephew LOVED fishing!! Everyone went out in kayaks, paddleboat, and played yard games. Exceptionally clean and stocked with what we needed. Reached out to owners for a couple questions and they replied immediately. Definitely recommend this place. '
