'Really relaxing stay. Home from home. Very peaceful location and lodge on a lovely part of the plot. Only issue I had was finding a few dog hairs here and there. Not sure if the person before me had a pet but that was the only reason why I didn’t rate cleanliness as a 5. vrbo sent my booking details with a check out time as 11am so I wasnt aware until 10.10am when the owner messaged me to say I needed to check out that I was actually late checking out. So that threw me a little as we started...

'Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in dem kleinen Haus. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war sehr gut. Besonders schön ist die Lage: man befindet sich direkt an dem Wanderweg an der Küste und es sind auch nur ein paar Schritte bis in das hübsche Zentrum des Ortes. Bei gutem Wetter hat man die Gelegenheit sich in dem kleinen hübschen Garten aufzuhalten. Für uns war es in dem Haus sehr schön, man muss aber wissen dass die Einrichtung sehr einfach ist und einiges etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist....

'What a wonderful house and location! Spacious, clean, and well-appointed inside, and a lovely garden to explore outside. The location is quiet and secluded, and ideally situated barely more than a stone's throw from numerous local attractions. The kitchen is really well equipped, bookshelves well stocked, and beds very comfortable. Will (our host) was very responsive prior to and throughout our stay. We hope to stay again next time we visit the area.'

'My three brothers and I had a wonderful week at Truck House. It was perfect for us. Mark and Fiona have equipped the cottage with pretty much everything you'd need and my expectations were exceeded over and over. The garden is lovely and we hung out a lot in the conservatory and kitchen. I absolutely recommend this place if you're wanting a quiet place to stay while exploring the area.'

'Location, location, location! The house has an incredible view of the beach, sea and sky, and everything in the village is within walking distance. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is very nicely decorated, simply but tastefully, and has everything you could need on a seaside holiday. The owner was always quick to answer any questions I had. 'Super nette en mooi ingerichte vakantiewoning ! Goed centraal gelegen in Cornwall om tal van bezienswaardigheden en stranden te bezoeken. Priveweg naar woning is wel heel smal.'

'We had a lovely stay at this property in Porthtowan. We were a party of 8, 2 families, and the house was perfect. Very clean, everything we needed and a lovely welcome pack of goodies when we arrived. Brilliant communication throughout with the host. 5 min walk to the beach, great bar and restaurant also just a 5 min walk. Bit cold when we went but we braved the sea and so glad we did! Great time had by all.'

'Lovely place to stay, beach perfect for the dogs and people all very friendly. Accommodation good, could have been much better with a welcome pack! The steps were a challenge, I consider myself quite fit but 74steps to climb with luggage not easy, added to which my husband scraped his car on the hand rail while trying to park on the tricky slope. The views were amazing from the deck as expected.'

'Despite the weather we had a wonderful time at Farm Cottage. The house is fully equiped for at least 7 or 8 people in the picturesque village of Portloe. Nice area to do some hiking, take a swim at one of the nearby beaches, collect local food and fish from the farm shop of Curguerrel Farm. The entrance is indeed quite narrow, but it wasn't any problem to park at the Portloe Carpark nearby.'
