'I left a note for the housekeeper with a few things that were needed. I'm not complaining, just wanted you to know. The smoke detector started beeping last night so we took it down so we could sleep. Batteries needed changed. The trashcan needed batteries as well. Lid wouldn't open. The chain to the main floor bedroom light broke. There were no dish towels. We couldn't get the grill to light. The youngest in our party is 74 making it difficult to take the trash all the way up to the end...

'Close to shopping and Hocking Hills state park. The cabin was cozy and in a quiet, secluded area and perfect for two. The driveway was a little rough and rutted out at the top if the hill. I would recommend 4 wheel drive in the winter. Great hot tub and enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. They do state firewood provided but it is $8 a bundle (seems a little high). The bed is a little hard and could use a new mattress pad and pillows are flat but the livingroom furniture was comfortable. No wifi...

'We enjoyed our stay at the Cumberland cabin, the amenities were as expected and the cabin was very clean. It was nice feeling so remote yet just minutes from nearly everything that interest us. '

'We really enjoyed our stay for our anniversary. It is a very cozy place to stay and pretty much all we needed as far as dishes, etc was there. Would highly recommend. I would just warn anyone who would want to stay that cell service is pretty scarce throughout the whole region, but that doesn't reflect on the cabin or the owner at all. Just something to be aware of. Great place to stay!'
