Cottages in Surry

'My husband, chihuahua and I stayed at the cottage for 4 days while in Virginia. We loved the view of the water from all the windows that allowed natural light in. We watched all the birds and crabs while sitting on the back porch. The location is great for visiting all the Historic areas. We took a segway tour and Ghost tour in Yorktown. We spent a whole day walking around in Williamsburg. Being a history buff my husband really enjoyed it. I even learned a few things. LOL I would recommend...

'Our grandchildren came for several visits and overnights. It was great. The cottage is very user friendly and was quiet. The surrounding areas uncluding paddock was a bonus for our Shetland sheepdogs. The walking trails were fine. We had a fantastic stay.'

'We loved the analog house! It is like having your own private sanctuary in the woods. The house was perfect for me and my husband and our two dogs. The kitchen is amazing and very well appointed. You really do have your own private beach front. We went kayaking, which was so nice and collected a bunch of shells. The sunsets on the beach every night were incredible. We will love this place and will definitely be back.'

'Wonderful property with excellent views of Mobjack Bay. Two ospreys nesting right off the end of the dock, and a green heron visiting a tree on the property were a treat. The only downside is that the 2 bedrooms are very unequal in terms of comfort and views. If you are 2 adult couples, one will have significantly inferior quarters. Otherwise excellent. And really good recommendations for local restaurants.'

'The house was perfect for us since we each had our own room. The kitchen and living room were great for long chats and reminiscing. The location was only a short drive to Colonial Williamsburg so we went all 3 days. We enjoyed the fire pit and ate yummy s’mores! Highly recommend this place!'

'NOT THE PRETTIEST NEIGHBORHOOD, but the property inside and out was clean and taken care of. my favorite thing: the neighboor behind the property lightly blasting his music for his neighbors to enjoy, but he was playing live grateful dead recordings!!! sitting out on the back porch at night was so relaxing'

'If sitting by the water with river breezes gently blowing, enjoying the quiet (occasionally interrupted by honking Canadian geese with their broods of adorable fluffball chicks, or passing ships), walking along a shell-strewn beach at sunset, or sitting in rockers on the screened porch watching the sun set over the water to the evening symphony of crickets sounds heavenly to you, you have found your vacation home. We enjoyed a wonderful respite from the stress of our lives relaxing here.'

'Communication was great. House clean. Fully stocked: instapot, griddle, k cup and full pot coffee maker, towels, seasonings, oils, coffee, etc, shampoo and soap. We stayed sitting in the sun room watching the river. All new appliances and furniture.'
