'A lovely stay and great location for exploring Suffolk. Comfortable, well equipped cottage on lovely grounds with lake, games room (which our kids loved) and goslings.'

'The stairs to 2nd floor rooms are a bit confusing but other than that all was good Excellent breakfast served a very nice and capable young lady called Amy. Jack who booked us in was also very professional '

'Comfortable room with excellent tea making supplies - and a good sized mug each! The floor fan was useful as it was very warm. The hotel kindly allowed a later check out with a prompt and polite response to our request. Check in was efficient and simple. The evening meal was superb - great value and the pavlova! Wow! Chef’s kiss! All in all - a beautiful historic building and a really enjoyable stay. We will return I am sure. '

'We stayed here for one night and it was perfect for that. The ladies in the pub are super friendly and we enjoyed the big breakfast and evening dinner. '

'I had made a mistake when booking the room, i booked a 'snug'. With two Golden Retrievers - a big mistake. Management were great and found us an outside room that was more suited. Loved the staff, other customers and the people in general. Felt the history.'

'Het hotel is een beetje vergane glorie. De douche viel tijdens het douchen uit elkaar en de temperatuur was niet te regelen. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.'

'AC didn’t work properly. I asked front desk to fix it. They said they turned the fan to full but that’s all they could do (didn’t make a difference). Offered me a desk fan as well. It was cold outside and sweltering in our room. Did I mention the windows don’t open?'
