The space
Let’s talk about what you get when you book this incredible Shenandoah cabin…

Jax Mountain Getaway is a beautiful pet-friendly home with 3 bedrooms, each equipped with the most comfortable queen beds you’ve ever slept on.

But the true highlight of this home is the scenic forest view while lounging in the hot tub.

Of course, the view doesn’t go away when you get out of the tub. There’s nothing quite like sunrises on the porch while sipping coffee or sunsets in the evening while lounging in our hammocks.

Yet despite being so private & tucked away, our cabin is in the perfect location — you can easily walk to nearby hiking trails or take a short drive to Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, or one of the local wineries.

Or enjoy a night at home, cooking indoors with our newly renovated and fully-equipped kitchen or BBQing outside on our outdoor charcoal grill while the kids play yard games.

But you know what kids (and adults) love even more than yard games?

Sitting on our leather couch or bean bag chairs and watching a movie on the projector screen!

In the movie room, you’ll also find plenty of board games to keep the whole family entertained. Or if board games aren’t your style, drum up a friendly game of air hockey instead!

When you book a stay at Jax Mountain Getaway, you'll have full access to everything the property has to offer. Meaning this is a completely private experience with no shared spaces.
Other things to note
Jax Getaway is located on a mountain road. While it’s on a flat gravel road, please note that during inclement weather, such as snow or icy conditions, AWD, 4x4 or tire chains are required. For added precaution, we also highly recommend carrying tire chains, even if your vehicle has AWD or 4x4 capabilities

On that note — although regular pest control measures are taken, the property is in the woods, which means insects may occasionally find their way inside.

The most common insects that may be encountered are flies, stink bugs, and ladybugs. It is important to note that these insects are not harmful, and their presence is merely an annoyance rather than a threat.

Also, we don’t want to kill the fun, but please; no smoking or parties are permitted.

Note that the game room and second full bathroom are in the basement, which is accessible through deck stairs.

You have access to a washer & dryer for your convenience. There is also a dedicated workspace and fast internet in case you need to get things done while you’re here.

Finally, your well-trained furry friend is welcome here for an additional fee.
