I waited a few days to leave this review, thinking if some time passed I'd be less annoyed. It helped a little, but I'm still frustrated.
To start with the good stuff: the place was clean and has everything you need for a great stay. The pictures were exactly what it looked like, and the whole property is super new and nice. The location was amazing. Parking is either inconvenient or expensive, but that's just the building and not the host's fault.
However, the communication was pretty bad.
The host said in her intro message that she wanted to know exactly when I was arriving, so I let her know I was arriving the morning after the reservation started. I got a message back about rates for early check in. Had to restate which day I was talking about.
Then the check in instructions were completely wrong. Like, for a different building. I spent like 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get in the room. I was on a tight schedule for the day and it did not feel good to start out like that.
Host said it was her assistant that misread the message about arrival, and an automated system sent the wrong info for check in. I have no reason not to believe that it's true, but it was still the wrong info and it still caused my day to be more stressful than it already was.
So now that you know what could to wrong, I would totally recommend this rental. It's not a bad place and the host isn't a bad person. Just bad communication put a cloud over my experience.
