'Friendly bar staff. Food was good. Chef’s night off and they still made dinner, although they did make us feel a bit guilty for having a friend join us who lived in Bourne. Quiz night, so good fun. Room was clean but bathroom was up some steps which was a bit tricky in the middle of the night. Rooms were quiet. Had a good sleep.'

'The rooms come with the charm of an old building, so you will have improvise a little. But possible disappointment by entering the premises is immediately forgotten after meeting with the owner/hotelmanager and tasting the food he serves. He really cares about people and makes you soon feel at home. Value for price too!'

'Lovely place.'

'Great views and great restaurant, lots of parking and scenic river views from room and restaurant'

'The staff were really friendly and the room was really well appointed and clean. The breakfast was good too. The only drawback with this property is that the rooms are upstairs in a SUPER busy pub. There was a disco downstairs until 2am which there was no escaping from. Thankfully we were out at an event until late so we didn’t have to put up with it for too long and it was quiet once everyone had left.'

'The rooms were lovely and big, the only issues were that either the jacuzzi bath didn't work or we couldn't work out how to use it, as we couldn't find instructions. The windows are quite draughty and we couldn't work out how to turn off the bathroom light. However, the bed was very comfortable, there is a nice kitchenette, and it's very well situated!'

'Primarily chosen as it was near to an event we were attending at the Nene Valley Railway (a short drive from the pub). We liked that the accommodation was in a separate building to the pub (although the pub was not loud). Good breakfast, evening meals, and friendly staff. We have a lovely walk around the village one evening, went back following day to try the local tea rooms but they closed early which was a shame. Will definitely stay here again'

'Clean room. Excellent staff, kept the kitchen open for us as we arrived a bit late on a Sunday. All good.'

'Prima kamers boven een pub. Een beetje lawaaierig. Ontbijt moest je avond ervoor bestellen, was ok, niet super, maar goed genoeg. Personeel is vriendelijk en correct. Minpunt was de douche, deze was erg klein (nog nooit zo klein gezien) en de watertemperatuur bleef op en neer gaan, van warm (te warm) naar koud.'

'Very helpful staff. Excellent food. Shower gel/ shampoo combo in the shower would have been appreciated!'

'The staff are very friendly here with a genuine aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are set out motel style with each room having direct access to outside the property. Overall, the rooms are basic but more importantly, clean. However, for the rate I booked was £160. This amount of money, I found it poor value. There is no desk to work from, the bedside tables are in the region of £20 each and there is no surface area on the bathroom for your toiletries. The restaurant...

'een jaren 60 hotel, prive badkamer.maar dan wel op de gang, zonder haakjes of legplankjes o.i.d. alles krom en scheef.niet meer van deze tijd.alleen het ontbijt was goed.'

'Everything about this place is fantastic'

'Prima verblijf om bijvoorbeeld Cambridge of stamford te bezoeken. Ook Londen is met de trein goed te doen. Kamer was goed, ontbijt en avondeten perfect, heerlijk. Badkamer klein en met een simpele douche. '

'Everything is dated and there’s not enough staff'

'Very friendly with good home cooked food and excellent beers.'

'Very clean with welcoming staff. Breakfast had an excellent choice and cooked meal was outstanding. We also had an evening. Meal with friends and this was also excellent with a good choice of food. Our room had everything one could need.'
