'A really nice B&B, great location, only 15 mins walk into town and the station. The room was a great size for a small double (I think thats what I booked!), very clean, local info folder. The breakfast was superb, cooked fresh by lovely staff/owner. Was an absolute pleasure and I hope I get to stay again :)'

'Terrible! Worst experience in a hotel ever! The outside building and front look nice but it’s a facade. Our room was on the backside, you have to pass a trash area and an ugly fence to get there, feels like you are put behind in a shed somewhere. The stairs up to the room were dirty and worn out. 'Me and my colleague stayed at Hunters Lodge for 3 nights in 2 rooms. The furniture is really outdated but it was very clean and the bed was comfy. First the electric switch for my sky light (the only window in the room) was broken and the room was boiling hot. Took a while for someone to come up and take out the ladder to fix it (they had to reset the system). The socket next to my bed didn't work as I wanted to charge my phone during the night. 'Room was lovely, just the right size. Staff welcoming & friendly, A lovely touch to get a free breakfast the following day. No issues with parking. Only 1 point to make, room was very hot so we should have asked for a fan (but it was 34 degrees outside!), so not even sure a fan would help!. Overall, would definitely return if we needed a night in Southampton again.'
