Blokhutten in South Island

'This was exactly what we were looking for, a nice, secluded, off the grid place to stay. Kath and Dan (and Mello the dog) were extremely welcoming. '

'Tiny house. Nice garden. On your own'

'What a wonderful little cottage to spend some time in. Everything was beautifully presented in a lovingly designed space, you can tell they have put a lot of thought into this place. Booking, communication and check in was fast and friendly. Location is perfect, with a stunning outlook to the North and the lighthouse walks very close by. The local pub is down the road if you don't feel like cooking. We wished we could have stayed longer, but we will be back! Thank you so much.'

'The cottage and surroundings felt like you were at a resort, not in the middle of the city. Cute little deck to have your morning coffee on. We had everything we needed in a rental. However, the decor and room overall were a bit dated, and the bed was too soft for us. The location was very convenient with cafes, restaurants and a grocery within walking distance. Staff were very nice, and check-in was easy.'

'Very well located.'

'Needs better signage heading to the property specially after sunset'

'Leuk verblijf midden in Catlin Forrest. De accommodatie heeft 3 aparte ruimtes. Een slaapkamer met comfortabele bank en een voor mij te zacht bed. Verder een ruimte met toilet, douche en keukentje. Je moet 's nachts dus buitenom naar het toilet. Keuken is goed voorzien. En een ruimte waarin de, grote, koelkast staat. Op het mooie buitenterras staat een grote barbecue die je mag gebruiken. Ook de tuin is prachtig. Alles is wel gedateerd maar wel functioneel. '

'When you arrive at this property you simply don’t want to leave! The cabin has the most special and unique feel to it with quality furnishings and appliances and the bath outside on the deck is spectacular (even in the rain!) We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here and our only regret is we didn’t stay longer! With no tv or wifi it was a great place to get lost in the serenity and away from the hustle and bustle of life and technology. This was one of our highlight stays in our 16 day tour...

'Such a beautiful place, Very lovely host. we loved our stay here would highly recommend 😁'

'It was a cute wee place to stay. We arrived late and the host had thoughtfully left homemade biscuits which were lovely with a nice cup of tea.I would definitely stay there again.'
