'Great location as others have stated. We spent our whole trip walking to shops, restaurants, and even the cliff walk and mansions. The place was spacious enough, clean and well appointed. Having off the street parking was great. The window blinds allow light, but keep privacy. Small recommendations…bring a portable fan if you like a fan while sleeping. There were none in the house, nor ceiling fans. AC works very well, but I like air movement and didn’t want the windows open and get too warm....

The house was impeccably clean and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.The spacious living areas and comfortable bedrooms made it easy for my family to feel at home. The beach was just a short walk away, and having access to all the beach gear was a huge plus!The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring our stay was nothing short of perfect. 'The house had a deck with the woods behind. Deer came out in the morning. Great fire pit and hammock in the back also. Pictures are accurate. Great proximity to Newport. Nice quiet spot for a relaxing evening after going to Newport. Jamestown has great restaurants and is a very nice old town. I would say be aware that there is a spiral staircase that some people might have a problem navigating. We did not. Property owner was very responsive and nice. We would come back.'

'We stayed at Coastal Cottage in Portsmouth, Rhode Island for a week with my wife, son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, and it was absolutely wonderful. The waterfront view was stunning, and the house had all the amenities we needed, plus a great deck for enjoying sunsets. We even made use of the canoes! Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we created some really great family memories. I’d highly recommend it. Owner is a good host and maintained open communication throughout.'

'Jan was an amazing hostess. The personal touches were so appreciated with rich toiletries, beverages, and an abundance of supplies. John did a fantastic job with the architecture, and the furnishings were perfect for a bay-side home. The steam shower felt so relaxing too. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you, John and Jan, for an extraordinary vacation!'

'The property was perfect for our needs. Five large bedrooms with king beds. Big open kitchen with all that we might need and more. Large comfortable living room. Dining table big enough to accommodate all of us. Ample outdoor furniture in the back and on the big front porch. Adirondack style chairs. Everything was as described in the post. Owner was super friendly and responsive. If you want/need a large comfortable house close to town this is the place for you. Thank you!'

'Connie and Frank were tremendous hosts. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. Connie went out of her way to make our stay extra special since it was our anniversary weekend. As stated in other reviews, you do have to access the unit through the main residence but you wouldn’t know that anyone else was home throughout our stay. Thank you again Connie for everything. '

'Beautiful old home in lovely section of Newport, where you can walk to everything. Comfy beds, ac, sparkling clean, cute patio. I’m picky (or so I’ve been told) and I simply cannot find a single fault in this property. AND ON TOP OF THAT, Keith was kind enough to mail a forgotten bag back to one of our party. Just super in every way.'
